At 4.45pm on way back from fishing trip round the back of the Calf we saw a small basker 12/14ft feeding in Bay Stacka.The weather was pretty rough and it was surprising that a shark would be on the surface.Picture of Gemini passing the Sugar Loaf (not on same day)

29/08/2009 Sinking Yacht

At 10.30am on the way to shoprite with Heather ,we saw a catamaran (Celtic Star) sinking in Port Erin Bay.Whilst watching proceedings Heather saw a Basker 22ft.feeding in the Bay.We went home and got others Alex Meg Max and Adam .The shark showed well for at least an hour.

30/08/2009 Risso Dolphins

Hi,weather really grim, family over .Desperation set in ,decided to go from Port Erin. At 10.15am we saw a 12/14 foot Basker between The Calf and Port Erin.Managed to see another at 11.15 in Port Erin Bay,this was a bigger one about 22 foot.Highlight of the trip was a pair of Risso Dolphins,who came very near for a couple of minutes.Alex , Megan and Max had plenty of mackerel ,but best fish was Heathers ling about 7/8 lbs.Adam was fairly poor with only a few very small Mackies.
